Rank Up Program
With the Daimaru Matsuzakaya Mobile App–exclusive "Rank Up Program", user rank is determined based on "CARATS" earned via shopping, check-ins and other actions at Daimaru Matsuzakaya, and bonus services/rewards become available based on rank.
* CARATS are not equivalent to points and cannot be used toward purchase discounts.
Acquiring CARATS
CARATS equivalent to 10% of the amount spent (before tax)
Show the home screen (with the app open) when making a purchase at a Daimaru Matsuzakaya store.
* CARATS are not awarded for certain products and services.
5 CARATS per check-in (only once per day at each store)
Launch the app inside a Daimaru Matsuzakaya store and tap "Check In".
* Enable use of device location information for the app.
* Awarded CARAT numbers are rounded down to the nearest whole number.
* Due to system processing, there may be a time delay before awarded CARATS appear.
* When returning a product for a refund, CARATS from that purchase will be lost.
* CARATS are not awarded for certain products/services. Please ask sales staff for further details.
Ranks and Rank-related Bonus Services and Rewards
In the Rank Up Program, rank increases based on CARATS accumulated, enabling additional rank-based services/rewards.
Tap "Use Rank-related Bonus Services and Rewards" on the app home screen to check service/reward details.
* Total CARAT count does not decrease when using/claiming "Rank-related Bonus Services and Rewards".
Rank Assignment and CARAT Expiration
Rank is determined based on CARATS acquired over the last year (up to the previous month) plus those from the current month. CARATS are valid from the date of issue until the end of the same month in the following year. CARATS are deleted after this date.
* Expired (lost) CARATS can be confirmed via the CARAT history section.
Ex.
① June 2019–May 2020: 2,450 CARATS acquired
② Earned 600 CARATS in June 2020, so rank for that month is based on ① + ② = 3,050 CARATS.
Warning
On July 1, 2020, the 300 CARATS from June 2019 will expire, reducing the total to 2,750 and lowering the rank to Topaz Level 5. If the user acquires at least 250 CARATS during July 2020, the total will reach 3,000 and the rank returned to Emerald Level 1.
